Sexual development can happen any time between the 9 and16, most usually around 11 or 12 but don’t worry it makes no difference when you start it doesn’t affect what you will be like as an adult.
Your sexual development is marked by a whole lot of body changes.
Body Changes:
- Your nipples and breast area might become sensitive for a short time, and your breasts begin to grow.
- You start to grow quite quickly, and may be very hungry!
- Your hair and skin may become more greasy
- Spots may grow on your face, neck, chest or back
- You grow hair in places there wasn’t any, like your genitals and under arms.
- You might notice a white mark in your pants, it means your vagina is cleaning itself!
- Your first period arrives.
It all sounds pretty awful but don’t worry its not all going to happen at the same time. Infact it can take several years for every thing to happen and might even carry on into your late teens!
To start with you nipples may tingle, itch or be sensitive and even a little sore, but that should pass as your breast start to grow. They might grow unevenly and one may be bigger than another.
All women grow body hair usually under their arms and in the genital area, some remove it with razors or creams it’s a matter of personal choice.
Period blood is dirty blood.
You shouldn’t shower or bathe while you are on your period. The menstrual cycle is from the first day of your until the day before your next PERIOD starts.
